India erstwhile Bharatvarsha Primarily a Hindu Nation

In United States of America how many original American aboriginals lived! The figure could be counted on fingers. Yet everyone living in America feels proud to be called an American.

India (erstwhile Bharatvarsha) is primarily a Hindu nation. About 600 years of Mughal rule resulted in mass conversion of Hindus to Muslims. Hinduism primarily should be called Sanatana Dharma, a dharma existing from times immemorial. Hinduism is also called a way of life.

Whatever the nomenclatures, people living in India should feel proud calling India as Hindustan. Irrespective of various class distinctions, we were all Hindus, Indians at heart. The entire wisdom following which human beings gained enlightenment belongs to India… the beloved Hindustan.

I was born in Jainism religion but had I been born a Muslim, I would have felt proud calling India Hindustan.
