Every single human being on mother earth has spark of divinity within to gain enlightenment in present life. Still most, world over pursued path of religion (rituals) than path of pure spirituality that led human beings towards enlightenment and finally salvation moksha.
The only handicap was inbuilt fear. All spiritual wisdom contained in world emanated from India (erstwhile Bharatvarsha). Spirituality has a stigma attached to it. If one followed path of spirituality… one would have to go to deep dense forests, become a recluse… leave confines of home forever.
This dictum was followed by Siddhartha Gautama who left his family midway touching feet of wife and child. That was long ago. In present times we need not go to forests or become a recluse to follow path of spirituality as detailed in Bhagavad Gita. Remaining wherever we were we could ceremoniously follow path of spirituality to reach God in present life.
When 15 years of age I also wanted to take the route as per established practice! I asked my mother permission to leave confines of home forever. She only said, over my dead body. Thereafter it was never looking back. Remaining in family I continued my search for God. I seriously started in search of God 8 to 9 years of age. At 37 I finally realized self, realized God.
Pitfalls on path of pure spirituality were many. All my life I was handicapped for money. Even members of the family, friends and outsiders looked at me with disgust. Most tried to cheat me. Such a thing can happen only in India. I have been to United States of America. No such thing exists there. All the bickering, trivialities of spiritual life exist in India. If we had the will, we could surpass anything.
As my goal of life was absolutely clear from six years of age… I did not budge even for once from my path. There were times when God Almighty himself (Brahman) tried to sway me from path of pure spirituality but I did not. Seeing my determination God finally backed out. God has his own ways to test serious travelers of spiritual path and this keeps happening intermittently termed Agni Pariksha in Hinduism. When I confronted God on one-to-one basis, those were the finest moments of my life.
Apart from shortage of money, I do not remember how many times I had to eat hell for breakfast, how many contemplations of suicide. Furthermore, God Almighty does not want many people simultaneously traveling path of spirituality. What if 50 Gautama Buddha came simultaneously. It would be chaos world over. Whom to worship or not! As ordained by God in 100 to 200 years a maximum of one or two persons were expected to reach stage of enlightenment. In the last about 150 years amongst 7 billion people existing world over only Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana finally made it to the end.
God Almighty also ordained a long journey of 1.1 million manifestations in human form to reach stage of enlightenment and finally moksha salvation. There never was any hurry.
