Stage of enlightenment was not something that needs proving! Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ and Prophet Mohammed Al gained enlightenment in their lifetime. The moment they reached stage of Nirvikalpa Samadhi, moment their kundalini awakened fully… the, I of their physical self dissolved forever. For an enlightened one who was engulfed in cosmic consciousness all the time… the whole world was just one large family. Nothing to be proven, nothing to be asked… one just existed!
After reaching stage of enlightenment, the moment people around recognized one… it was only queues, nothing else. People wanted to ask, they had loads of questions, queries within!
Mahavira reached stage of enlightenment 42 years of age. He could have of his own quit his body but he did not. He wanted to give back to the community what he gained on spiritual path. He indulged in deshna (discourses) for full 30 years and left his mortal frame at 72.
While indulging in discourses one thing was apparent. As detailed in Scriptures of Jainism… even lower forms of life came and sat in his discourses. Lions and buffaloes sat side by side. This is not part of mythology. This was a real happening. When an enlightened one spread ones aura all around… even animals got mesmerized and followed one.
The life of an enlightened one changes overnight. One could see both the outside and the inner world simultaneously. The whole span of cosmic life from first manifestation to 8.4 millionth manifestation was at our tips. Becoming knower of all, the enlightened one indulged only in satisfying queries of seekers.
