If Free Will did not Exist could Human Beings Survive even for a Second

If the free will did not exist could human beings survive even for a second? We would be no better than animals fighting all the time, killing each other. It is presence of free will and power of discrimination that distinguishes us from animals. Our free will emanates from existence of consciousness, a spirit… soul atman in our heart. As detailed in Bhagavad Gita we are primarily a spirit, a spiritual being manifesting human form to cleanse self of dross impurities within.

A soul atman undertook a journey of 8.4 million manifestations in its lifetime before it reaches stage of absolute purity. Before manifesting human form for the first time our soul atman had already manifested 7.3 million bodies in insect, plant and animal life. For human beings to reach stage of enlightenment we were given a cycle of 1.1 million manifestations. It simply means the variations in human form were of 1.1 million types. As per Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita enlightenment was not that easily achieved.

When I started in search of God six years of age something within my heart tickled all the time. Young, not knowing what to do I kept my experiences to myself. As time passed by I discussed with other members of the family but no one knew anything about it. In exasperation one day I tried to sincerely hear what this voice from within wanted to convey. And then this voice told me to pursue God in right earnestness. By nine years of age I finally decided that goal of my life was searching for God.

As I was totally truthful from the beginning of life, I could distinctly hear the voice of my soul atman coming from within. The free will, the unknown power from within was the voice of our soul atman coming from within our heart. Guided by my free will, exercising power of discrimination that made me distinguish right from wrong I started in pursuit of God all the time. My love for God also was absolute 100%. My faith in God also was absolute 100%. Power of truthfulness coupled with absolute faith paved way for interacting with God Almighty every second of life.

By indulgence in contemplation was round-the-clock. Even while indulging in daily routines of life I was all the time contemplating on God. I was so happy that my free will finally had become my guide in the journey of life. Guided by voice of my soul atman, my free will… I finally cleared all hurdles of spiritual path to reach God in the wee hours of third of August 1993 37 years of age. This is my last manifestation on mother earth, 8.4 millionth manifestation… last in cosmic life cycle!
