How many powers do Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ and Prophet Mohammed possess? Probably unlimited spiritual powers but not permitted to manifest! As detailed in Hinduism scriptures enlightened souls were not permitted to manifest godly powers except for the welfare of mankind. Spiritual powers could not be utilized for self ever.
Communicating telepathically becomes a routine feature for spiritual persons. As one reached stage of enlightenment by negating karma and ego to zero, the desire to use such powers for personal vested interests ceases to exist. There was no limit to types of spiritual powers such personages possessed. Arjuna in Mahabharata was termed Gudakesha, one who established control over sleep in totality.
During times of Mahavira (24th Tirthankara of Jainism, preceptor) lions and cows sat side-by-side during discourses. Not only their animal instinct subsided but they enjoyed company of enlightened souls. These animals could not understand anything stated by Mahavira but, a connection between soul to soul was always there. All human beings evolved from stage of animals.
There are numerous instances in Hinduism of spiritual people manifesting different kinds of spiritual powers. The biggest irony of mankind in present times was… most worldwide thought that they could follow teachings of enlightened ones, nothing beyond that. We failed to realize that Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita says every single human being on mother earth had the spark of divinity within to become a Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ or Prophet Mohammed in present life.
