Walking path of spirituality as a Lady was difficult, so much so that in entire history of mankind until now, only two ladies finally succeeded in reaching stage of enlightenment… the famous philosopher saint Gargi and Maitreyi, the second dutiful wife of says Yajnavalkya (composer and compiler of most voluminous Brihadaranyaka Upanishad).
Mounted with power of Moha (extreme emotional attachment), it is almost impossible for ladies to undertake spiritual journey. Moha is not that easily scuttled. It is Moha that makes a Lady take care of household matters. In absence of Moha, the whole family system would go haywire.
Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita says, one who could travel path of spirituality even while living in family was a Yogi of the highest order. We can do it if we really want to.
Human beings have been mounted with power of discrimination exercising which we distinguished right from wrong. Exercising free will, power of discrimination we could easily decide our goal of life. Heartburns, pitfalls were a natural phenomenon of spiritual path. In my pursuit of God I do not remember how many times I had to eat hell for breakfast, how many contemplations of suicide. 15 years of age when I asked my mother for her permission to leave confines of home forever, she only said, over my dead body! I thought for a while and continued my spiritual journey even while living in family.
I just wanted to reach God in present life and so I did.
