What would my goal be if I stood on 65th floor of Empire State building knowing well that I still had a lot more to go before I reached the top! I would wait in the queue until my turn. Till then, I would enjoy the beauty of New York fully immersed in thoughts of what I had imagined and what I was seeing.
When in higher states of consciousness, we are so engrossed thinking of God Almighty that mundane, trivial affairs of daily life are left far behind. Similar as one standing on 65th floor of Empire State building would have little interest in affairs of the world happening on ground floor.
In upper states of consciousness it was nothing but a direct interaction with cosmic consciousness, our contemplation at its best level. We just could not risk losing even a second. Whatever thoughts came our way, we projected the same to Almighty for his answers. Everything was serene, tranquil, if an al pin dropped, we could hear it nice and clear. We were at a stage when lesser thoughts were invoked than before. It was almost a stage of thoughtlessness.
Answers to queries that were not available while standing on ground floor were available now. The feeling of I, no more existed. We were floating in ether enjoying the vast expanse of cosmos. Everything was happening in our subconscious state. We were still aware of the physical surroundings but untouched by it. We could practically see self from outside. We could realize we were totally distinct from the body. We were a soul atman, the spirit concentrating on self.
The higher we went greater the fall would be. But we loved going higher and higher.
