What Mahatma Gandhi followed should not be our concern but what he did! Lala Lajpat Rai died a gory death at the hands of British lathies only due to hollow practices of nonviolence preached by Mahatma Gandhi. Could we practice nonviolence in present times when facing terrorists loaded with AK-47? If today India is divided into two parts, it was a great misunderstanding on part of Mahatma Gandhi. Had Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel been the Prime Minister, such a passé would never have resulted. Hundreds of innocent messengers of peace died practice nonviolence… what a shame! AK-47 must always be faced with AK-56 or howitzers!
We just could not mix Ahimsa (so called nonviolence) with politics.
What Lord Krishna indulged was not an ordinary war… it was a battle to re-establish Dharma (righteousness) against evil forces of adharma (lawlessness). Such a feat could only be indulged by an avatar of that era (God manifest in human form). Not even an enlightened one could make such things happen. To remove the rot from the society, to put the society back on its pedestal… a war of Dharma gets necessitated every 3500 to 5000 years. About 3650 years before in Dwapar Yuga mankind witnessed Mahabharata and in present mankind would witness world war 3 (the mother of all wars).
Mahatma Gandhi understood little of Bhagavad Gita… how could we make Bhagavad Gita applicable in a normal war!
