What differentiated people of different times… only their perception! In the society if 95% people followed unethical practices then we called it Kali Yuga. Adversely in a Satyuga only 5% people indulged in vice, 95% people were sattvic (having godly tendencies).
The evolution occurs in stages. In present times we find some children behaving real nasty. From where did they inherit this trait of character, definitely from their parents! Both are to blame. Even in the present Kali Yuga 5% people maintained godly thinking, were totally positive in life. How could such people withstand the torment of society? Yet, they are surviving! It is likely that God protects them.
If we desire our children to be bright, then our indulgence in good karma, positive karma was necessitated. We just could not expect mangoes to grow on a guava tree!
