Human form is the highest manifest stage in cosmic life cycle. It was only in human form… our soul atman, the consciousness within liberated self from cycle of birth and death forever. Enlightenment could never be gained in lower forms of life. The ultimate purpose of life for all human beings mandated by god was travelling spiritual path to cleanse self of dross impurities within. We were lucky to be born a human being. Becoming a Mahavira, Gautama Buddha… Jesus Christ or Prophet Mohammed was our goal of life mandated by God. None could change this destiny of mankind!
The highest stage of evolution that human beings can reach was gaining enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and finally salvation moksha forever! The entire crux of life is explicitly detailed in scriptures of Hinduism… primarily Bhagavad Gita… an epic consisting 700 shlokas verses!
As detailed in Bhagavad Gita… the cosmic journey of life truly belonged to our soul atman, the spirit within! Ever since God Almighty (Brahman in Hinduism) exploded self with a big bang… all pure souls’ atmans in cosmos scattered all over cosmos at unimaginable speeds. In the melee, the hurtling souls’ atmans gathered impurities similar as a rolling ball gathers moss! To cleanse self of dross impurities within… starts cosmic life cycle of every soul atman!
In its cosmic sojourn souls atmans start manifesting life when life supporting planets like mother earth evolved! The first manifestation by a soul atman occurred as an amoeba (single cell formation)… further evolving into multi-cell formation… then insect life, plant life, animal life and finally human form! In its maximum lifespan of 8.4 million manifestations… the initial 7.3 million manifestations occurred in insect, plant and animal life. In the remaining 1.1 million manifestations in human form… we were expected to reach stage of enlightenment… become a bodhi, a Jina… a Mahavira forever!
To travel or not to travel is the sole prerogative of every single human being living on mother earth! Human beings have been endowed with power of discrimination that distinguished us from animals. We can delay travelling spiritual journey… but not for ever! End stage of life… stage of enlightenment can only be reached via path of spirituality… never path of religion (path of rituals). In present times none could reach God via path of bhakti yoga (total surrender to God Almighty). Path of jnana yoga (absolute wisdom) was necessitated to cut across shackles of karma forever!
Travel in human form was the most pleasant experience for a soul atman. Moment human beings reached stage of enlightenment… the pure soul atman need not manifest a body again! In absence of dross impurities within… the need for a soul atman to manifest a body any further… now ceased to exist! Dominated by a bloated ego… human beings all the time felt it was the master and controller of life! In reality… soul atman, the consciousness within were the absolute controller and master of all forms of life on mother earth… including human form!
Bhagavad Gita abhors human beings indulging in suicide. By doing so… human beings were cutting short the journey undertaken by their soul atman, the spirit within! Such an act does not go unpunished. On the karmic scale we are pushed to a lower level in next manifestation! Some of those who committed suicide… feel that they might manifest a better life in next manifestation but it was vice versa!
As a human being it is our duty to assist our soul atman in reaching its cosmic end of life. Mahavira did that… so do Gautama Buddha! Jesus Christ did that… so do Prophet Mohammed! In the last about 150 years amongst 7 billion people existing world over… Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana also succeeded in completing their spiritual journey… reaching stage of enlightenment!
