The brain of all human beings always was the same, some brains highly evolved and others mostly dormant like tribal people of Jarawa, Sentinelese, etc. Normal human beings used their brain 1-2%. It is quite possible that tribal Jarawa or Sentinelese used their brain not even a fraction of 1%. As the evolution of brain accordingly manifests intelligence of mankind!
No brain evolves of its own. It is directly proportional to karma indulged. By travelling path of spirituality some seekers in their present life reached stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana). The brain of such enlightened ones like Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ and Prophet Mohammed operated at 100% capacity. Practically they had nothing more to gain in present life.
If the people from Jarawa or Sentinelese came to urban society they would take their own time for development of brain. Similar as a tender plant slowly grows into a tree, the brain also evolves with time. The development of brain in such tribal people could never be expedited.
Spiritual travelers by indulgence in path of contemplation, self enquiry, logical reasoning could evolve their brain at a much higher pace. Indulgence in scriptures like Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads (independent treatises) results in evolution of the brain at unprecedented spirit! But our goal of life must be spiritual, and our path contemplation.
Many people indulged in teachings of Bhagavad Gita to increase their managerial capabilities. The evolution of brain in such cases was usual, slow.
