In Bhagavad Gita Lord Krishna explicitly says that all worship, prayers must directly be offered to Brahman (God) the one and only creator of present cosmos. Lord Krishna abhors practice of worship, praying to different attributes of God… hordes of gods and goddesses!
Lord Krishna is Dharmaraja himself, embodiment of truth but only truth. Lord Vishnu was an attribute of God Almighty, part of Hindu Trinity! Allegorically Lord Krishna is soul atman existing in all human beings. Lord Krishna is always depicted as sarthi (charioteer) of the chariot (body) belonged to Arjuna.
