The end as stated in Hinduism Scriptures is termed Pralaya in Hinduism (dissolution of entire cosmos). The cosmic energy contained in cosmos from beginning of life, from times immemorial always remained constant… could neither be created nor destroyed!
When dissolution of cosmos occurs, as detailed in Hinduism scriptures all souls’ atmans automatically reached 8.4 millionth manifestation, last in cosmic life cycle. Devoid of dross impurities within this collective mass of all pure food atmans carried the volume of half a thumb. In laymen terms, at the time of dissolution of cosmos… the size of entire cosmos reduces to size of half a thumb. This massive energy, the combined power of all pure souls’ atmans is what we called God Almighty, Brahman in Hinduism.
Unable to contain itself for long in its prime pure state, this primordial cosmic energy… size of half a thumb again explodes with a big bang to form new cosmos! The total primordial cosmic energy from beginning to end always remains the same. In doctrine of Advaita Vedanta Adi Shankaracharya makes it explicitly clear that other than Brahman, God Almighty (the primordial cosmic energy size of half a thumb) nothing existed in cosmos.
