As detailed in Upanishads (independent treatises) it is only when Brahman (God Almighty) exploded self with a big bang the present cosmos formed (Brahmaand in Hinduism). Brahman, size of half a thumb was that singularity in the beginning of cosmos explosion of which resulted in creation of present cosmos.
