Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa, a perfectionist of the highest order… a true seeker, mystic is among the two spiritual stalwarts in the last about 150 years who succeeded in reaching stage of enlightenment in their lifetime. Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa was no less than Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ or Prophet Mohammed.
In the initial stages of life Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa in pursuit of God undertook path of bhakti yoga. He was an admirable fan of Maa Kali, worshipping her all the time. Despite all efforts when Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa failed nearing God… he switched tactics and pursued path of jnana yoga (absolute wisdom) and nishkama karma yoga to reach God.
His indulgence in contemplation on cosmic truths of life contained in scriptures of different religions of world, particularly Bhagavad Gita… reaped the desired results. Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa was finally able to establish total control over five senses and mind. The moment that happened, his kundalini awakened fully and he became an enlightened one that very moment.
Lying on a cot Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa clarified queries of visitors thereafter. He had finally emancipated from cycle of birth and death forever. Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa was a contemporary of Maharishi Ramana, who also started in search of God via path of jnana yoga. Maharishi Ramana also succeeded in reaching stage of enlightenment in his lifetime.
Duplicating path followed by Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa… any human being world over could easily reach stage of enlightenment. Swami Vivekananda greatly benefited from his teachings.
