Karma was the governing factor of entire cosmos. As we sow so shall we reap nothing less or more says doctrine of karma. Ever since souls atmans separated from its source (God Almighty himself, Brahman in Hinduism) they got mired in impurities. To cleanse self of dross impurities within starts cosmic life cycle of every soul atman. It is through complex process of karma and evolution life moves ahead in cosmos. Both happiness and sufferings were part of life, two sides of the same coin. In absence of one, the other carried no meaning.
God Almighty (Brahman) since creation of cosmos always acts as Dhrishta (onlooker), never interfering with creation of his. Everything in cosmic system was directly governed by inscrutable laws of evolution on karma. God absolutely had no role to play in life of human beings. As our indulgence in karma accordingly shapes our destiny! At no stage of life we could blame God Almighty for karma indulged by us.
