We could Transcend Sufferings only if We Believed in Existence of Sufferings

Can we become a professor of mathematics unless we believe in mathematics in totality? Can we reach god unless our belief in God was absolute 100%? We could transcend sufferings only if we believed in existence of sufferings. In absence of belief we could never transcend sufferings ever.

Both sufferings and happiness were intrinsic part of cosmic life, two sides of the same coin! It is through sufferings and happiness, evolution and karma life moved ahead in cosmic life cycle. Duality was part of nature. If we have fire, we also have water. If we have day we also have nights. In absence of one the other carried no meaning. In absence of sufferings, how do we value happiness? In absence of happiness how would we know the meaning of suffering? It would be same all over all the time.

To remove dross impurities within our soul atman, both sufferings and happiness were necessitated. Sometimes we suffered, at other times we experienced happiness! Traveling path of spirituality we realized that sufferings could be transcended forever. For this our establishing absolute control over five senses and mind was necessitated. By reducing our desires and wishes gradually, we also established control over ego in totality. In absence of desires and wishes there were no sorrows.

Our indulgence in path of nishkama karma yoga took care of our sorrows. Detaching self from fruits of karma performed human beings finally put all sorrows at bay. To a wise the glass was always half full. To a pessimist… half empty! In between lay feelings of both happiness and sufferings. Remaining contented with half glass full, one experienced happiness all the time. One discontented with half glass empty suffered most of time. The difference lay in our perception. For a nishkama Karma Yogi both were equal.
