Both sufferings and happiness were part of cosmic life. In absence of one, the other carried no meaning. It was only through process of suffering and happiness life evolved further in cosmic life cycle.
If we need separating one KG of pure gold from hundred KG lump of gold ore… what would be our process? Initially we would heat the ore to remove dirt impurities within. Then we would pass the heated iron through a channel of water. All dirt impurities within would be washed away and we were left with 88 KG of gold ore… meaning one KG of pure gold surrounded by 87 KG impurities.
We further pass this ore through various mining machinery and processes to separate one KG of pure gold from 87 KG impurities. The period gold ore is heated, passed through furnaces… it is period of sufferings. The moment this ore passes through channel of cold water… it was moments of happiness! In absence of sufferings… no living form including human beings could ever evolve.
Both suffering and happiness were two sides of the same coin. Duality was part of cosmic life. If we had day… we also had night. If we had fire… we also have water. It is passing through both life moved ahead in cosmic life cycle. More the sufferings… faster we evolved. How many people remembered God in times of happiness? Most remembered God only in their sufferings.
If in Buddhism life was predicted as full of dukhma (place of sufferings)… it was a serious anomaly. The beautiful world created by God Almighty was not a place of dukhma (sufferings). Our life was directly governed by karma performed. As our indulgence accordingly manifests our destiny!
