We are primarily a spirit, soul atman existing in our heart. As a spirit, soul atman we were not distinct from God Almighty in essence. If an individual grain of sand is an independent soul atman, the whole mound God Almighty (Brahman in Hinduism).
As human beings reached God Almighty following path of truth, it is truthfulness that was liked most by God! In absence of truthfulness, we could not recognize presence of soul atman existing in our heart. Even the voice of soul atman coming from our heart was not distinctly clear.
