Sufferings do not exist in astral world of souls atmans. The precept of karma regulates physical life on mother earth. As our indulgence, accordingly manifests our destiny! A soul atman manifests human body to cleanse self of dross impurities within. Indulgence on karma was the sole prerogative of physical manifest self. Our indulgence in bad karma simply prolongs cosmic journey of a soul atman. Indulgence in good karma, positive karma expedites cosmic journey of a soul atman!
As a soul atman could not purify self of its own, it needs a medium… a body to work out its karma! Of its own, all souls’ atmans were inert… never directly interfering in life of physical manifest body.
