We are presently passing through Kali Yuga (Dark Age, metal age) when above 85% people followed path of untruth. Dominated by a bloated ego, most pursued materialistic goals in life. None was at fault. We only failed to exercise control over five senses and mind. Rather we acted like a slave to our senses.
An ideal society, the other aspect of Kali Yuga was Satyuga (the golden era). The opposite of Kali Yuga was Satyuga (the golden period). In a Satyuga above 95% people practiced truthfulness all the time. The situation just reversed. A pot of gold found lying in the backyard would not find a claimant in Satyuga. In a Satyuga diamonds were simply stones polished bright, people pursued spiritual goals of life than materialistic!
As per Hinduism scriptures it is only an avatar (God manifest in human form), who ushers society into Satyuga. In a decade or so from now, mankind would witness advent of Kalki avatar… the annihilator of Kali Yuga.
