Based on residual balance of karma at the time of death, one chooses ones parents in next birth. The life equation keeps changing. One born a son in present life may become our father in next manifestation. The relationships of present life were only limited to present life. After death of mortal form, the released soul atman again manifests a new form based on residual balance of karma. That was how reincarnation, rebirth worked in the field of pure spirituality.
No two human beings were same. Based on residual balance of karma we as a soul atman keep manifesting different forms. In one life we may be born to Indian parents and in next manifestation… become a European. At all stages of life karma was governing. None could interfere in laws of karma, not even God Almighty. As detailed in Bhagavad Gita… our soul atman was the only truth of life. The physical manifest form keeps perishing… rotating in the endless cycle of birth and death.
All relationships in present life ceased to exist in next manifestation as the new form manifested by our soul atman in next life could not recognize relationships of earlier lives.
