Reading mind is something different from understanding people. First we must realize no human being ever had an independent mind. The mind of entire cosmos was one; we only had a brain that works as a receiving and transmitting station. The cosmic mind has two compartments, reservoir of mind plus and reservoir of mind minus. From reservoir of mind plus we invoked all positive thoughts and from reservoir of mind minus, all negative.
Once while visiting a Jain Muni (in Jainism the word Muni refers to a hermit, ascetic, monk or simply a holy person) I found that he had a waiting queue. While I waited in the hall outside someone from the gathering try to implore my brain. I could clearly see the person wanting to do it. Through telepathy I told the person again and again not to venture into my brain but he point-blank refused. By that time, the waiting queue was over and it was my turn to meet the Jain muni (monk).
The Jain Muni used to meet one person at a time. But no sooner I started my chat with him; the man who tried to enter my brain dashed into the room and questioningly told the Jain muni that this person did not allow me to look into his brain. He asked the Jain muni for asking me to give permission. I point-blank refused. The man got up angrily and left saying, that it was time I opened up. I just kept quiet. Many other instances of this kind happened with me in life.
One who had a stronger willpower can definitely enter and look into the brain of other. This was not only possible but it happened most of time world over. This faculty comes in handy at the time of interviews. While conducting interviews during selection process, I could survey the entire brainpower of the candidate. It helped me choose the right candidate for the right job. Reading others mind is a faculty which must never be misutilized. It can have disastrous results for one who had weaker willpower.
What is telepathy? When a human being is trying to invoke some messages from reservoir of mind plus or mind minus, one could interfere in between and invoke the same messages for self. Translated this simply means, we could know what the other person was thinking at that time. People with similar nature, similar habits tend to invoke similar messages from reservoir of mind plus or mind minus. This is how people connected through telepathy world over.
