The brain of a human being works like a receiving and transmitting station. No human being ever had an independent mind. We all have a brain. For human beings to live their life meaningfully invocation of thoughts from reservoir of mind plus and mind minus was mandated by God. From reservoir of mind plus human beings invoked all positive thoughts and from reservoir of mind minus, all negative.
We were primarily a soul atman on its cosmic life cycle of 8.4 million manifestations. We manifest human form to work out our karma, remove dross impurities within. As no soul atman could purify self of its own it needs a medium, a body to work out its karma. And for the body to work and survive, a brain was necessitated in the body. The soul was totally independent of brain.
Our brain works almost like an antenna loaded on a robot. Through the remote control mechanism we could control the robot. Similarly, human beings ventured into vast expanse of cosmos, drew thoughts from reservoir of mind plus and mind minus through their brain. At the time of death of body, the soul atman leaves the body and the brain becomes dead.
