Thousands of thoughts entered our brain every second of life incessantly. We had absolutely no control over flow of these thoughts. Indulging in contemplation, path of yoga meditation we could stem the flow of these thoughts in totality. Indulging in absolute celibacy for a period of 12 years in continuation we could forever stop flow of negative thoughts to our brain. Subduing our ego, establishing control over desires and wishes, indulging in nishkama karma yoga we stopped flow of positive thoughts to our brain in totality… reaching stage of Nirvikalpa Samadhi (state of absolute nothingness) when not a single thought flowed to our brain uninvoked.
We should start by forming a definite goal in life. Pursuing this goal with all eggs in one basket we could minimize flow of thoughts to our brain. Henceforth, only those thoughts pertaining to our goal would be realized by us.
