Falling Asleep while in Meditation Savasana


Well, that was absolutely normal. In the initial stages of spiritual pursuit when I indulged in path of self enquiry lying in shavasna pose of yoga, I most of time fell dead asleep after about 15 to 20 minutes of indulgence in path of contemplation, logical reasoning.

 

As my journey of spirituality progressed ahead I developed more and more resilience and could contemplate for longer hours of time. Finally came a stage when, I could indulge in contemplation all the night. When I got up in the morning, I was not even tired.

 

Resilience comes with passage of time. Do not hurry anything. Be patient and observe everything minutely from within. Just remember, meditation was not all about thinking about something… it was seeking answers to our long standing queries within.
