Morning Meditation Best time to Meditate

There was never a time for meditation. One could indulge in meditation any given moment of time. Meditation was not a defined path. All my life, I indulged in meditation via path of contemplation, self enquiry, logical reasoning. To know God, to realize God our reaching hidden underlying precepts of spirituality contained in sacred texts of different religions of world was necessitated.

To indulge in scriptures yes, we could do so any given moment of time. Whenever I had time while travelling, in office or at bedtime I indulged in reading everything relating to Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa on Maharishi Ramana, the two spiritual stalwarts who succeeded in reaching God in their lifetime. I also indulged in life history of various sages and saints of yesteryears who reached stage of enlightenment.

I somehow wanted to follow, duplicate the technique followed by these spiritual stalwarts. Nothing in field of spirituality was detailed or clear. It was only through path of contemplation we reached the hidden underlying meaning. I have seen seekers who never indulged in path of contemplation ever. How could such travelers of spiritual path ever hope to gain anything in field of pure spirituality?

Most of time I indulged in path of contemplation, self enquiry, logical reasoning, Neti (not this, not this) at bedtime lying in shavasna pose of yoga! In the initial stages I fell asleep, dead asleep. With passage of time I was able to practice contemplation for longer periods. When I got up in the morning, most of my queries had been resolved. I felt much lighter and refreshed in the morning.

Indulgence in contemplation while morning jogging or walk was my best pastime! All my life I was a lone jogger never chatting with anyone on the way! I always remained so engrossed in enquiry within that some of my friends would get angry for not replying to their good morning wishes. All depends on our zeal, enthusiasm to reach God in present life. As our indulgence, accordingly the manifestation of inner self! Read more on Meditation
