How to do Meditation for Anxiety Relaxation Meditation


Bhagavad Gita says the best Yogi of all yogis was one who indulged in yoga meditation while living family life and still reached stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana). Such a seeker is termed perfect Karma Yogi. Seems simple, but on mother earth this was the most difficult task to accomplish. Prime reason why in yesteryears seekers left for deep dense jungles (forests) to meditate as a recluse, mendicant! Indulging in yoga meditation while in family was almost an impossible task. Only an ardent traveler of spiritual path like Swami Vivekananda could accomplish this feat.

 

In happiness how many people remembered God? Most prayed to god only when suffering, saddened. Yoga meditation is best practiced when confronted with daily routines of life. To become tough on path of yoga meditation, the experience of family life was necessitated. One can become a recluse, mendicant any given moment of time. But running away from incomplete family life was never an excuse.

 

While indulging in yoga meditation we followed path of contemplation, logical reasoning… self enquiry to get a solution to our query. If we logically find out cause of our anxiety, stress then we can handle the situation much easier. I followed this practice all my life. I always succeeded in eliminating the root cause of anxiety, stress. Whatever the cause I successfully handled it and reached stage of inner calm.

 

Such patience, persistence and perseverance can only be practiced if we were truthful in life all the time. I remember many instances when I openly confronted my father on many issues. I did not accept his sayings because he was my father. I used to tell him point-blank… either you satisfy me logically or I will satisfy you. Whoever wins the end is the winner. In most cases I won.

 

On path of pure spirituality I was never afraid of anyone except god. From six years of age I lived life of absolute truthfulness all throughout. So much was the power in my truth that because of my saying the headmaster of the school dismissed services of deputy headmaster and a school holiday was declared on that day. The whole school celebrated that day for the deputy headmaster was not a good guy.

 

At that young age I truly realized power of truthfulness. I almost equated truth with god and was not wrong in my surmise.

 

Yoga meditation is not about thoughtless thinking. We are supposed to scuttle all queries within. Every single query has to be subdued in totality. We have to reach the root cause of every query jumping to our mind (brain). Unless we do that, we would fail in all our attempts. Yoga meditation does not involve any type of thinking. Yoga meditation truly means negation of all thoughts, every single query forever.
