The best place to meditate is serene surroundings of our own house and time 430 a.m., the Brahma muhurta! This is what is advised in Hinduism scriptures. Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita says the highest yogi of all was one who indulged in yoga meditation even while living in Grihastha ashram (family life) in confines of home.
From six years of age I indulged differently. A great fan of yogic exercises (asanas) yet, I could never indulge in one. I preferred aerobic exercises and jogging to yogic exercises (asanas). I indulged in yoga meditation through contemplation, introspection… logical reasoning! I never accepted anything on book value, even if Lord Krishna said so.
I tested each and every statement of Lord Krishna and enlightened souls on altar of absolute truth and finally reached my own conclusions. Mastery in art of contemplation finally led me to domain of God Almighty. In the wee hours of third of August 1993 I finally realized God.
Lying in shavasna pose of yoga when going to bed in night… I called for a roundtable conference consisting of Lord Krishna, Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ, Prophet Mohammed, Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana etc… I posed them all my queries! In the morning when I got up I felt much lighter as all my queries had dissolved within.
Next day the same old routine followed with a new set of queries!
The best part of contemplation was… I could indulge in contemplation at any given moment of life right from morning to evening day and night. Even the place was not important. While indulging in business meetings… I was most of time indulging in contemplation on God!
