Nothing we do in present life brings good luck. Luck was a property of karma. When positive residual balance of karma from previous manifestations all of a sudden fructified, we were lucky… some even won a lottery! Every, single luck on mother earth emanates from positive residual balance of karma from previous manifestations. It was never a creation of karma indulged in present life. Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita advises that we must never wait for luck but indulge in good karma, positive karma in present life to manifest destiny forever.
