Lord Srikrishna is primarily remembered for his extreme contribution to society… his sermon of Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna in the dharmic battle of Mahabharata. Following precepts of spirituality contained in Bhagavad Gita human beings finally reached stage of enlightenment, moksha salvation.
Metaphorically Lord Krishna stands for soul atman existing in human body. Lord Krishna is always depicted as sarthi (charioteer) of the chariot (human body) belonging to Arjuna. If we seriously desire knowing everything about Sri Krishna we must indulge in path of spirituality to reach our true inner self existing in our heart as our soul atman, the consciousness.
Nothing in field of spirituality, in Bhagavad Gita could be understood literally. We need following path of contemplation, introspection… logical reasoning to reach hidden cosmic truths of life contained in Bhagavad Gita and also various scriptures of different religions of world.
The commentary on Bhagavad Gita by Jayadayal Goyandka, Swami Ramsukhdas and Hanuman Prasad Poddar were classical masterpieces available with Gita press, Gorakhpur, India. Furthermore, commentary by Adi Shankaracharya was also available with them. If we desire knowing Srikrishna in totality… we must indulge in the original text of Bhagavad Gita as available with Gita press!
