Indulging in Hindu mythology or trying to read Bhagavad Gita literally one can never understand character of Lord Krishna. Born an enlightened one Lord Krishna was not a man god alone like Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ or Prophet Mohammed. He was an avatar of his era (God manifest in human form)… a lethal combination of a man god, an enlightened one and Chanakya (the most able administrator in the entire history of mankind). The personal life of Lord Krishna relates to Hindu mythology having nothing to do with the real Lord Krishna.
To understand Lord Krishna one needs travelling path of pure spirituality and reach stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana). Before one becomes an enlightened one, one could never assess or realize what Lord Krishna stands for. One who ends a Yuga and starts a new Yuga is an avatar… a saviour, messiah! In present times people await coming of Kalki Avatar one who succeeds in annihilating dark forces of nature, precipitate end of Kali Yuga and start Satyuga, the golden period.
Everything contained in Bhagavad Gita was symbolic. The real Lord Krishna existed within all living beings including human beings. Our soul atman, the spirit within… the charioteer is Lord Krishna. It all the time guides us on right path but dominated by a bloated ego we preferred pursuing materialistic goals of life. To hear the voice of our soul atman, voice of Lord Krishna from within our undertaking spiritual journey was necessitated. From six years of age I have been guided by voice of my soul atman, Lord Krishna himself. Subduing my ego forever I finally reached stage of self realization, god realization in present life.
