Teachings of Bhagavad Gita, the sermon given by Lord Krishna to Arjuna in the battle of Mahabharata made him reach stage of enlightenment! In absence of teachings of Bhagavad Gita, Arjuna could never have gained enlightenment in his lifetime.
The delicate relationship between the seeker and the sought was understood only by Arjuna and Lord Krishna. The kundalini of Lord Krishna awakened when very young. The kundalini of Arjuna awakened fully after contemplating on sermon of Bhagavad Gita.
Lord Krishna was an avatar of his era (God manifest in human form) and Arjuna an enlightened one!
In the battle of Mahabharata, Arjuna alone was competent to decipher what Lord Krishna had to say… prime reason why only Arjuna gained enlightenment in Dwapar Yuga. Only an avatar could be considered as God incarnate, never an enlightened one!
