Role of Luck and Human Life

Role of luck directly translates to our karma in past lives. If we get lucky in present life at any given moment of time, all owed its existence to presence of positive residual balance of karma from previous manifestations. What if the residual balance of karma was negative, untold sufferings fate befell us!

Luck was not something we waited for. It comes of its own similar as sufferings that come unannounced.

In the game of life both luck and multitude sufferings awaited us. This results from residual balance of Prarabdha karma in ones life. Prarabdha karma is that unknown factor in the philosophy of karma that could fructify any given moment of time.

Whatever karma we indulged in present, the fruits of the same may manifest immediately, few days later, few months later and few years later… even few manifestations later. This simply means karma enacted by the physical manifest form undertaken by our soul atman three lives before could manifest now. Even though we were not a direct party, we might get lucky or suffer in present life.

The doctrine of Prarabdha karma was irreversible beyond reach of most human beings. For the simple reason that intelligent human beings do not manipulate laws of karma, God Almighty inbuilt a small portion of karma that did not fructify immediately at the time of death of body. Human beings who desire manifesting destiny, gaining absolute success in life never waited for luck to happen.

Luck was not an entity one should wait for. We must always believe more in our capability, our hard work and our enthusiasm to reach our goal of life than waiting for luck. In any venture of life if we failed, that does not announce we were a permanent failure. It is in our failures lay seeds of future success. Ask any successful entrepreneur world over, we would be astonished to find how many times one failed before gaining absolute success.
