Path of spirituality can always be traveled living in family. Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita clearly says highest Yogi was one who could satisfactorily undertake spiritual journey while living in family. Vairagya (renunciation) can be practiced while living in family or the community. One need not go to deep dense jungles (forests) in present times for contemplation, indulgence in sacred texts.
Practice of Vairagya demands negating our ego to zero. This was a difficult proposition but gradually establishing control over five senses and mind we could establish, rather demolish our ego to zero. Following teachings of Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita and jnana (wisdom) contained in Upanishads, one could easily travel spiritual path successfully.
Commentaries on Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads were available from Gita press, Gorakhpur, India. Before embarking on spiritual journey we must never forget, mere indulgence in scriptures of different religions of world gained nothing. Real indulgence in yoga meditation means contemplating, introspecting… indulging in logical reasoning to reach hidden underlying cosmic truths of life contained in Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads. None could understand anything in scriptures literally.
Remaining truthful most of time, we could exercise power of discrimination to distinguish right from wrong. We could also hear the sweet small inner voice of our soul atman coming from within our heart. The voice of our soul atman always guides us on right path. When our focus in life was absolute, the chaos of material world never mattered. By practicing absolute celibacy we could channelize all our energies behind the single goal of life.
