The Primary Language of Most Scriptures was Sanskrit


Hinduism also called a way of life (and should be termed Sanatana Dharma) contained a vast paraphernalia of scriptures. The primary language of most scriptures was Sanskrit.

 

Even though Mahavira, 24th Tirthankara of Jainism came afterwards… the language followed in Jainism scriptures was Prakrit and those of Buddhist… Pali!

 

Lord Krishna was a cousin of Neminatha, 22nd Tirthankara of Jainism.

 

In present times, authentic commentaries on Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads were available in both Hindi and English for the benefit of mankind. Such commentaries are available with Gita press, Gorakhpur, India.
