Existence of Gods and Goddesses in Heaven was Metaphorical

As detailed in scriptures of Hinduism stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and finally salvation moksha can only be achieved in human form, never lower forms of life or the form of gods or goddesses (Devta or Devi.

How do gods and goddesses (Devta and Devi) relate to human form? As everything in scriptures was symbolic by gods and goddesses we mean souls atmans hibernating in swarga (heaven). As souls’ atmans had no gender… the concept of Devi existing in heaven was a misnomer.

The concept of swarga and naraka (heaven and hell) as detailed in scriptures of Hinduism stood for place for hibernation of souls’ atmans when matching parents were not available on mother earth. A soul atman gains entry into heaven if the residual balance of karma at the time of death of body was positive and hell, if negative. Both heaven and hell existed in sun.

The existence of gods and goddesses in heaven was metaphorical having nothing to do with absolute reality. For the time our soul atman remained in heaven we were equated to god (Devta). As enlightenment could not be gained directly from heaven, the soul atman manifests a human form again to reach stage of enlightenment.

In simple words when matching parents becomes available on mother earth, the hibernating soul atman (in heaven) immediately manifests a human body to start a new journey of life. Normally souls’ atmans hibernating in hell (naraka) manifest a lower form of life… form of animal, plant or insect. This concept of heaven and hell can be clearly understood by travelling path of spirituality as detailed in Bhagavad Gita.
