Under influence of drugs one could at the most experience hallucinations… moments of extreme calm but all were short lived, temporary! Enlightenment is gained when our kundalini energy awakened fully. This becomes a reality by practicing absolute celibacy for a minimum period of 12 years in continuation. This 12 years period could not be curtailed by any means. Mahavira (24th Tirthankara of Jainism) contemplated for a period of 12 years while standing on a hillock. Siddhartha Gautama contemplated on deeper issues of life sitting under a bodhi tree for a period of 12 years.
