I never looked at death that way! In Hinduism the dead body is always burnt, extinguished forever! Hinduism believes in continuity of life. After death of present body our soul atman, the consciousness within again manifests a new body to start new journey of life.
After death of present body what continues to next manifestation is residual balance of karma of present life. The closing balance of present life becomes the opening balance for next manifestation. If the residual balance of karma of present life was positive then in next manifestation one would experience happiness most of time. Only if the residual balance of karma was negative, one suffered all the time!
To manifest success happiness in next manifestation, we must never go after inscription on the tombstone but indulge in good karma, positive karma in present life to remain happy most of time. Hinduism scriptures like Vedas (Hinduism revelations), Upanishads (independent treatises) and Bhagavad Gita were the foremost of all scriptures existing on mother earth.
Everything contained in scriptures of Hinduism was based on truth and only truth.
