A soul atman manifests human form because it contains dross impurities within. If the soul atman was pure, the need for it to manifest a body would not have existed. In simple words we could say… every single form of life was manifested by soul atman within to cleanse self of dross impurities.
The moment human beings reached stage of enlightenment, the need for soul atman to manifest a body any further ceases to exist. Having reached stage of absolute purity, the cycle of birth and death for a soul atman finally comes to an end. An enlightened one… a bodhi, a Jina is the perfect one we are looking forward to! There was nothing further to be gained by an enlightened one.
Having reached cosmic end of life, the moment an enlightened one leaves mortal frame… one attains moksha salvation… entering Vaikuntha (kingdom of God) forever! The whole purpose of the soul atman manifesting human form was reaching stage of absolute purity. Gaining enlightenment and finally moksha salvation was the cosmic goal of life for every human being on mother earth.
