When young and passing by Hindu temples in the morning or evening I used to see lots of girls forming a queue to the Shiva temple. I noticed this for many months and one day hesitatingly asked a girl why she came to the Shiva temple. Her answer flummoxed me. She just stated, only to get a good husband.
Then I went through story of Lord Shiva and Parvati. Goddess Parvati had indulged in severe penances desiring Lord Shiva as her husband. And these poor girls were imitating Parvati, little realizing that story of Lord Shiva and Parvati formed part of Hindu mythology, having nothing to do with absolute reality.
Ignorance can only be removed by self. It was wrong to say ignorance was a blessing in disguise. It was good karma indulging in which human beings manifested destiny, never otherwise. Ask any successful entrepreneur world over, story was always the same. The seeds of success always existed in karma.
