Gautama Buddha was not the creator of Buddhism! He only framed guidelines for human beings to emancipate forever from sufferings, world of dukhma (miseries)! After Gautama Buddha left his mortal frame, his followers called the teachings of Gautama Buddha as Buddhist teachings and the following as Buddhism religion.
Gautama Buddha gained enlightenment in his lifetime and if followers of Buddhism follow his path, they were also expected to reach stage of enlightenment… but not a single one until now did!
In Hinduism, path of spirituality was simple. Any human being could follow teachings of Bhagavad Gita to reach stage of enlightenment and finally moksha salvation.
