As a physical manifest human form our relationship with planet Earth was that of mother and son. As we were primarily, a spirit, a spiritual being manifesting human form… Mother Nature, planet Earth takes care of us so that we could evolve.
Ever since occurrence of big bang, origin of cosmos… all souls atmans remained sandwiched unable to purify themselves of their own. They needed a body, a medium to work out their karma. When life supporting planets like mother earth evolved in cosmic system souls’ atmans immediately started manifesting life. As detailed in Hinduism scriptures planet earth must always be treated as mother earth… prime reason why in India, in Hinduism more prayers were offered to goddesses than gods.
After occurrence of death on mother earth, the physical manifest dissolves forever but the real essence, soul atman within based on residual balance of karma at the time of death manifests a new form to start a new journey of life. This cycle of life continues until a soul atman reaches 8.4 millionth manifestation.
The relationship of soul atman and mother earth was that of cosmic son and cosmic mother!
