Normal human beings relate to physical manifest world. They had no idea about the inner world… world of our soul atman, consciousness existing in our heart. Dominated by an ego they could never realize the world of souls’ atmans. Traveling path of spirituality when seekers subdued their ego to zero, they found that original master and controller of life on mother earth always was consciousness, soul atman existing in our heart and not the manifest physical human form. It is not within capability of a body to manifest a soul atman, the consciousness within.
Every soul atman manifests human form to work out its karma, remove dross impurities within. As detailed in Advaita Vedanta doctrine of Hinduism propagated by Adi Shankaracharya, other than God Almighty world of souls atmans nothing existed in cosmos. The perceptible world was an act of Maya (veil of illusion). In reality everything, the physical manifest world existed only in thoughts of God Almighty. This abstract reality of life could never be conceptualized by normal human beings. Enlightenment means becoming a pure soul atman in the cosmic journey of life.
An enlightened one finally becomes knower of all. All jnana wisdom contained in cosmos was at tips. One could indulge in scriptural texts like ABCD. It is our scriptures primarily Hinduism scriptures that tell us about the long cosmic journey of soul atman. Every soul atman initially manifests form of amoeba (single cell formation), the first manifestation in cosmic life cycle. It further evolves into multi-cell formation, insect life, plant life, animal life and finally manifests the human form. All human beings directly evolved from stage of animals. Reaching stage of enlightenment was the cosmic goal of life.
In human form a soul atman undergoes through 1.1 million manifestations at the most before it liberates self from cycle of birth and death forever. Enlightenment truly was not that easily achieved. Becoming a Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ or Prophet Mohammed was not that easy. As detailed in Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads every single human being on mother earth had the spark of divinity within to become a Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ or Prophet Mohammed in present life.
