Enlightenment was never caused; it always was achieved indulging in spiritual scriptures like Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads (independent treatises). In the entire history of mankind whoever reached stage of enlightenment… all of them indulged in teachings of Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads including Jesus Christ and Prophet Mohammed. During missing years in the life of Jesus Christ, he came to Nalanda and Taxila universities of erstwhile Bharatvarsha (now India) to indulge in jnana wisdom contained in Hinduism scriptures. Both these universities presently lay in ruins… Nalanda in Bihar state of India and Taxila in Pakistan! Prophet Mohammed also belonged to a region existing in Persia beyond which lay boundaries of erstwhile Bharatvarsha. Taxila University existed very near to region of Prophet Mohammed.
Nothing in Bhagavad Gita or Upanishads could be fathomed literally, all scriptures demand following path of contemplation, logical reasoning… introspection to reach the hidden underlying meaning.
God Almighty ordained a long journey of 1.1 million manifestations in human form to reach stage of enlightenment. To achieve the same in a limited time span of 70 to 80 years of earthly abode was nothing short of a miracle. All achievers of enlightenment started young.
