Human life primarily evolved through hit and trial but not all humans living about 12,000 years ago indulged in contemplation, introspection… logical reasoning! Only a very limited few must have done that. Jainism identifies such human beings as Kulkaras. With passage of time these Kulkaras indulged in farming, developing various tools to protect self and also kill animals for the sake of food.
Human life in those times practically was meaningless almost comparable to animals. Life was practically based on the instinct… survival of the fittest! Mounted with a free will, power of discrimination… some human beings of those times indulged in contemplation, reasoning to find meaning to life, to survive in the harshest of circumstances.
