Relevance of Vedas Hinduism Revelations in present times

To travel path of spirituality, to reach stage of enlightenment and finally salvation moksha, indulgence in Vedas (Hinduism revelations) was not necessitated. When path of jnana (wisdom) had not yet evolved, people indulged in various rituals including yagnas to appease gods. Such a practice was not necessitated now.

In yesteryears people were not aware of the path to reach God Almighty. Most of time people feared wrath of God. To escape fury of God mankind indulged in all sorts of rituals. As the brain of human beings evolved, sages and saints started contemplation on god. Following path of logical reasoning, self enquiry revered sages and saints of different era finally realized God was Nirakaar in form (having no form).

With coming of Bhagavad Gita, the path to God became absolutely clear. Following teachings contained in Bhagavad Gita any human being world over belonging to any religion faith or belief can easily gain enlightenment in ones lifetime. Indulgence in Vedas and Upanishads (independent treatises) was not necessitated. Why indulge in something that did not lead to God Almighty?

Furthermore, it was within capability of enlightened ones to invoke again everything that was contained in Vedas, Upanishads… even Bhagavad Gita. With passage of time nothing gets lost. Everything exists in reservoir of mind plus. By tuning our brain waves to the requisite mental level, we could invoke everything, anything from reservoir of mind plus. All things negative existed in reservoir of mind minus.

When Islamic invaders plundered Nalanda University of yore, its library burnt for more than three months. Many invaluable scripts, sacred texts perished in that fire never to be recovered again. But India, Hinduism does not seem to have lost anything. The original gist of Bhagavad Gita with Hindi or English transliteration is available for mere Rs. 40/= ($.60) from Gita press, Gorakhpur, India.

A true traveler of spiritual path never worries about what is lost but what was available. We have everything in our possession necessary to reach God in present life.
