In present Kali Yuga (Dark Age, metal age) indulgence in four Vedas was not necessitated. Only by assimilating pearls of wisdom contained in Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads (independent treatises)… any human being world over, belonging to any religion, faith or belief can ceremoniously indulge in spiritual teachings of Hinduism to reach God in ones lifetime.
Sacred texts carried only one meaning. If we desire liberating self from cycle of birth and death forever… our indulgence in Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads was necessitated, never otherwise.
