A practitioner of Brahmacharya Vrata (celibacy) of the highest order, Swami Vivekananda was an exemplary traveler of spiritual path who could have easily gained enlightenment in his lifetime but refused to do so. When his spiritual master Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa asked him why he had come to him if the goal of his life was not reaching God… Swami Vivekananda politely replied, only to affirm presence of God Almighty. Under able preceptorship of Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa Swami Vivekananda could have easily gained enlightenment in no time but his goal of life was community service and in that he excelled.
Remaining concentrated on the goal of his life all the time Swami Vivekananda never minced words. He all the time spoke extempore. Such was his mental prowess that he could invoke anything relating to spirituality any given moment of life.
Any human being who wanted to reach God in present life must follow character of Swami Vivekananda in toto.
