We can never know at what level of karmic index we stood in spiritual journey of life! We could be situated anywhere between 7,300,001 and 8,400,000. Hinduism scriptures like Upanishads (independent treatises) detailed everything explicitly that we were primarily a spirit, soul atman on its cosmic life cycle of 8.4 million manifestations. In absence of reincarnation, rebirth life just could not move ahead in cosmic life cycle. After death of human body based on residual balance of karma at the time of death our soul atman manifested a new body to start new journey of life. This cycle of birth and death continues until a soul atman reaches 8.4 millionth manifestation, last in cosmic life cycle!
This is the stage when human beings traveling path of spirituality gained enlightenment and finally moksha salvation.
As everything relating to spirituality was intangible, it could not be measured in terms of science! Everything in domain of God Almighty was based on faith in God (shraddha in Hinduism).
